Elena Zucchetti

Laboratory Manager at Ferrarini & Benelli.

Born in Crema in 1988, she graduated from the Politecnico di Milano with:

  • a degree in Physical Engineering (bachelor + master)
  • a PhD in Physics with a research project at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Milan).

To gain international research experience in the field of light-matter interaction in polymeric materials, she spent several months in Singapore at Nanyang Technological University.

Before joining Ferrarini & Benelli as an application engineer, she used to work as a colour scientist in a multinational chemical company specialising in the production of dyes, pigments and additives for plastics.

In charge of the laboratory, she is responsible for carrying out tests and gathering all the necessary information to help customers choose the most suitable surface treatment.

She is a passionate swimmer, snorkeller and diver. She also enjoys dancing (Latin and Lindy Hop) and origami.

She enjoys travelling to get to know and understand different cultures.
